Position Summary:


Reporting to the _
Manager, Service Operations, _the
Dispatch Administrator acts as the front-line service support for the service operations teams.

This role is responsible for issuing work order requests, purchase orders, dispatch contractors and assists Service Operations Managers with scheduling of work, also assists with other administration duties.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:


  • Answer incoming customer inquiries and forwards to appropriate departments. Initiate trouble shooting via the telephone for customer inquiries.
  • Issue work order requests, scrub and prepare for invoicing.
  • Track and manage call status in various portals per customer contracts.
  • Coordinate and dispatch subcontractors as needed.
  • Initiate WCB and Health and Safety requirements for subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Coordinate hotel bookings for technicians as needed.
  • Responsible to verify credit or COD status prior to conducting business with customer.
  • Assist Service Coordinator and/or Management in scheduling of work for technicians.
  • Work with Managers/Coordinators from other departments and branches to share staff and resources.
  • Issue and record purchase orders as required.
  • Assist with other administrative duties.

Qualifications required for the position:


  • Business or Office Administration diploma.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
years' experience in a dispatch position.

  • Previous experience in electrical industry an asset.
  • Previous experience with work orders and purchase orders an asset.
  • Customer Service experience.
  • Teamwork and multitasking experience.
