Overview
The Global Business Development (GBD) group manages relationships with international strategic customers around the world and represents EDC internationally.
The group plays an integral role in the Connection Financing business Business Connections Program and collaborates with other lines of business, including the mid-market growth team, in order to drive Canadian exporter success internationally.
Reporting to the Vice-President, the Coordinator will provide the team with administrative support, help out in various capacities on individual initiatives with other members of the team.
The incumbent is expected to contribute to the teams' overall success and effectiveness in the delivery of quality service and value added to internal and external customers and to actively contribute to further developing an environment of continuous improvement within the team.
Discipline Summary
- Supports general business operations by providing various administrative support activities as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines in the Administrative Services Function.
- Provides administrative support to the Vice-President and/or nonexecutive employees or groups in the organization.
- Arranges business travel, coordinates meeting arrangements, and/or tracks expenses.
- Identifies, enhances and follows specific processes and procedures to maximize the efficiencies of office workflows to which the support is being provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides administrative services to team including, but not limited to handling correspondence, coordinating agendas, managing workflows, sourcing and routing required customer information, processing inquiries. updating the team's BCP, etc.
- Responsible for the management of team budgets, including budget maintenance and timely update and reporting thereof, individual expense tracking and follow up as well as interaction with relevant internal stakeholder groups
- Responsible for travel management: approval tracking, arranging logistics (incl. complex travel arrangements), and expense reimbursement processing and ancillary requirements
- Contributes to the use and effectiveness of the Team's Management Systems (Visual metrics, dashboard, etc.)
- Coordinates and administers team activities and meetings: logistics, arranging relevant materials and technology, recording action items
- Solves administrative problems and initiates improvements to administrative standards, controls and processes including reporting and analysis of operational statistics
- Provides file, document or information storage and retrieval services including classification, organization and electronic data/Information entry or sourcing
- Periodically will assist with ongoing project work conducted by the team
Screening Criteria
- Completion of secondary school
- Minimum 3 years of experience in administrative field (e.g. managing a team's budget) with exceptional customer service
Assets
- Undergraduate degree in Business Administration or related relevant discipline
- Experience in financial services and/or a corporate environment
- Experience in business analytics, data management and reporting
- Bilingualism (English and French)
Salary Range
- $48, 000 - $72,000 + performance based incentive
- Salary ranges and compensation structure are currently under review. We anticipate updates to be in effect in July 2023._
