Responsibilities:


Scope of Work:


This Co-op position assists with coordinating, planning and expediting the flow of materials, parts and assemblies between departments according to production and shipping schedules.


Typical Work Activities:


  • Performs data entry with ERP system (SAP), as well as excel.
  • Creates production orders based on material flow and department production schedules.
  • Enter information into master schedule to ensure proper scheduling of jobs and projects for fabrication and assembly.
  • Communicate with other departments to ensure delivery dates are met and issues are resolved.
  • Issue releases and requisitions to order material.
  • Determines amount of material required to complete job orders.
  • Confirms material delivered to production departments to verify quality and specifications.
  • Performs other duties as directed.

Qualifications:

Working Conditions:


  • Most work will be performed in an office environment at a desk utilizing a computer.
  • Mental demands include reading drawings/schematics, detailed work, problem solving, verbal and written communication.
  • Some tasks will require time spent in a manufacturing environment requiring personal protective equipment (e.g. eye protection, foot protection, hearing protection)

Skills Required:


  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Teams.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving and organizational skills.

  • Currently enrolled in a postsecondary program in Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
