IDMYS provides all-inclusive care in a residential setting to one of the most vulnerable populations, at-risk youth.

All-inclusive care includes everything from cooking, cleaning, and driving to and from appointments, to administering medications, to offering emotional and behavioural support.

We are currently looking for a Residence Coordinator to join our amazing teamDuties and responsibilities:


  • Develops, implements and evaluates residence goals, objectives policies and procedures and ensures the required standards are maintained. Identifies both physical and program needs of the residence to appropriate authority. Plans with staff for changes.
  • Schedules, supervises and evaluates residence staff and practicum students and monitors daily operations. Assists in recruiting and selecting of staff and provides guidance, training and orientation on policies, procedures, techniques, report preparation or other matters arising in the residence. Identifies the needs of staff for professional development.
  • Provides leadership, guidance and participates with staff, families and others in planning and providing persons served plans, case conferencing, case management and the preparation of related documents and reports. Completes personal care plan for persons served.
  • Monitors, authorizes and allocates expenditures within the operating budget for the year and assists management in preparing the budget. Prepares and maintains related documentation.
  • Liaises with the community, government, families, officials, professionals, and organization staff and promotes community involvement in the program.
  • Ensures the cleanliness, safety, security and maintenance of the residence in accordance with licensing standards either directly or through delegation to staff.
  • Maintains the residence's inventory of supplies.
  • Works as a Residence Worker or Residence Worker, Senior performing duties as required.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

What we are looking for:


  • Passion for helping others, openminded, and adaptable.
  • Proven leadership skills: the ability to support with orientation, training, and work direction.
  • Excellent communicator who is understanding, patient, and nonjudgemental while providing exceptional care to our youth.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Experience with scheduling an asset
  • Valid BC Driver's License
  • Current First Aid (or willing to obtain within 3 months).
  • Experience working with atrisk youth and/or people who have a mental health diagnosis or experienced trauma.
  • Diploma in a related human/social service field and 3 years of recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Must be 19 years or older.
  • Vaccinated for Covid19

Compensation, hours, and location:

Compensation starts at $28.39 per hour and requires union membership.

We have one full time, permanent position available. This position's schedule will include some evenings and/or weekends.
