We are currently seeking a
Payroll Specialist II responsible for accurate, timely and compliant payroll working within our North America Payroll Team.

This position will maintain primary responsibility for Canadian payroll processing and will also process and provide support for US payroll functions, with both countries processing within ADP Workforce.

In addition to processing payroll, this position will be responsible to participate, lead and engage on payroll projects within the Payroll Team and cross functional department teams that promote further advancement with automation and betterment for the team and organization.


Principle Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assure compliant and timely biweekly ADP payroll for both, Canada and US company codes
  • Audit assurance for accuracy, inclusion and completion of the daily HR interfaces to ADP
  • Assure compliant timecard processing, recordkeeping and inclusion within payroll
  • Maintain all ADP DataBridge files; troubleshooting experience is a plus
  • Maintain knowledge and awareness of payroll and payroll tax regulations and guidelines
  • Provide optimal customer and partner focus via support within the payroll team mailbox
  • Process necessary file extracts and check requests for applicable vendors
  • Engage within regular vendor partnership calls for problem solving and issue resolution
  • Partner with internal teams including Benefits, HR, HRIS and TA for organizational betterment
  • Research, resolve and communicate payroll issues as necessary
  • Maintain awareness of NSF policy and procedures to assure adherence
  • Maintain positive and team player mindset
  • Assure daily mindset for betterment through analysis, evaluation and automation advancement
  • Maintain compliance and integrity of payroll records to assure compliant ADP yearend process
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures and document when necessary
Qualifications

  • Minimum two (2) year diploma in Accounting, Business or related discipline, or equivalent combination of work experience and education.
  • Minimum three (3) years working experience processing payroll for both Canada and USA payroll procedures and policies.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce for Payroll and Enhanced Time and Attendance
  • Demonstrated analytic ability to assure payroll regulatory compliance
  • Comfortable working in a fastpaced, resultsoriented environment
  • Process oriented and able to maintain accuracy and integrity of data within global environment
  • Demonstrated communication skills to allow optimal customer service and partner experience
  • IT system savvy to assure comfort with automation
  • Strong communications skills
  • Clear and logical thinker with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Solid team player mindset with ability to lead and working independently
  • Effective organizational skills and an ability to meet deadlines
  • A respect for confidentiality, data protection and data integrity
  • HR Oracle knowledge is a plus but not a requirement
