Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Team Leader to oversee daily operations within our retail environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of retail management. This role involves supervising staff, managing customer interactions, and ensuring the store meets its sales and service goals. The Team Leader will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive team culture, implementing sales strategies, and maintaining operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a team to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Supervise daily store operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and cash handling.
- Oversee recruiting, onboarding, training, and development of team members to ensure high performance.
- Manage payroll processing, scheduling, and time management for staff.
- Implement marketing initiatives and promotional activities to increase store visibility and sales.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints effectively, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate purchasing decisions and manage pricing strategies to optimize profitability.
- Utilize POS systems for transactions, sales tracking, and reporting purposes.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, updates, and training sessions.
- Maintain organizational standards related to store cleanliness, safety protocols, and compliance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in supervising or managing retail teams with strong leadership skills.
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
- Demonstrated proficiency in retail sales, merchandising, POS systems, and cash handling.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience in recruiting, training & development, budgeting, and sales management.
- Knowledge of marketing strategies and promotional planning within a retail setting.
- Ability to handle administrative tasks such as bookkeeping, payroll processing, and inventory control.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills including negotiation, phone etiquette, and customer service excellence.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
