Team Lead - Application Design to add to the existing skills of our Engineering team.

The role of Team Lead on the Prototype Vehicle Systems Team is designed to work closely alongside the Product Engineering Manager.

The two shall establish a working model of team and technical leadership and management jointly.

Functional requirements capturing to define project direction
Product development scope creation and maintenance
Leading and mentoring a team of 47 technical people
Agile project management
Optimizing off highway equipment design for advanced underground mining vehicles
CAN Bus Communication (J1939 and Can Open)
Mechanical/Hydraulic actuation instrumentation and control

Typical duties in this role will include:

Lead a team of 5-7 people including, one-on-ones, time approvals, performance appraisals, & supporting goals and objectives definition
Supporting hiring efforts for team growth
Developing project requirements with the support of project management
Creating and managing project scope development for single project
Defining project resource requirements
Supporting Engineering manager with highlevel planning and road map development
Engineering Diploma or Degree from a recognized postsecondary institution
7+ years of off highway equipment development
Proven experience with Battery Electric Vehicle development
Proficient in MS Office Software (Word, Excel, Project, SharePoint)
Experience in people leadership
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, proficiency in other languages is an asset
