• Due to Fulger Transport Inc.'s rapid expansion we are now looking to introduce a new Afternoon Shift for our Fleet Repair Facility. The company is actively seeking to hire a new Apprentice Diesel Mechanic to be a key member for this shift to support Fulger Transport's operations. The ideal candidate would be an automotive repair professional with a proven track record within the commercial truck repair industry. This individual would be an independent self-starter with the ability to work in a fast paced environment. This position will require the successful candidate to occasionally work on weekends and retain periodic on call availability.

• A general understanding of the Logistics and Transportation Industry.
• Experience and knowledge with commercial truck repair.

• Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services.
• Identify warrantable repairs and document the repair order.
• Maintain work area appearance and safety.
• Road test vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure that they are working properly.
• Perform duties with little or no supervision and in a timely and efficient manner.
• Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, and precision instruments, as well as power tools such as pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, and jacks and hoists.
• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper operating condition.
• Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery.
• Adjust and replace brakes, tighten bolts and screws, and reassemble equipment.
• Raise trucks, buses, and heavy parts or equipment using hydraulic jacks or hoists.
• Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test instruments such as handheld computers, motor analyzers, chassis charts, and pressure gauges.
• Examine and adjust protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices.
• Inspect and verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to factory specifications.
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by the General Manager. *Qualifications**Experience:* This individual must have at least 1 years in commercial truck repair. *Education:* Highschool diploma is required. Enrollment in a Red Seal Program such as 310T considered an asset.

• Demonstrated ability to lead a team.
• Solid interpersonal skills.
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. *Schedule:
• 3:00pm EST to 11:00pm EST Monday to Friday, 7:00am EST to 11:00am EST every other Saturday
