- Create and maintain feasible/robust designs/drawings/schematics that meet:
- Accepted Crestline Engineering/QMS standards
- Internal/external customer requirements
- As applicable, OEM chassis requirements
- As required, regulatory and statutory requirements
- Exemplary standards of fit and finish for efficient manufacturing
- Solicit product feedback on manufacturability and accuracy / completeness of documentation during the manufacturing cycle
- Review Production feedback and incorporate relevant changes
- Coordinate the procurement of subcontracted materials through Supply Chain
- Deliver accurate and robust Bill of Materials
- Improve business and quality related processes, using Lean thinking and Lean tools to decrease cost, boost quality and improve on time delivery
- Incorporate Production suggestions where the change will improve product manufacturability
- Use marketing suggestions and customer feedback to improve customer satisfaction and serviceability
- Use feedback from Quality Cost and Delivery Metrics(QCD) to drive improvement
- Work with the Product Development team to incorporate production efficiency at early stages of design
- Create and maintain design Engineering project plans in MS project and other platforms
- Support the Vehicle Platform and Product Applications Specialist for bids and tenders
- Support in troubleshooting of production and service issues
- Support Compliance Engineering when required
- An engineering technology diploma in design and manufacturing engineering or equivalent
- Proficiency and/or working knowledge in ECAD tools and drafting principles
- A working knowledge of PDM or PLM systems
- Troubleshooting, critical thinking, and complex problem-solving mentality
- An agile and adaptable mindset with a strong sense of urgency
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- A highly self-motivated attitude with a keen attention to detail
