Introduction

Through effective leadership, the Smelter Director will be required to establish the strategic vision and direction to effectively manage operations while meeting all safety, production, metallurgical, environmental, and budgetary objectives.

The ideal candidate is an experienced operations manager with a strong technical background and significant experience in production, engineering, and management.

The candidate must have strong managerial and interpersonal skills and be a leader in HSEC and HR at all levels of the organization.

This position seeks a strategic thinker with the capacity to implement targets and influence outcomes.

A minimum of 15 years of experience in a senior management role in operations, coupled with solid business acumen, is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, lead, and implement strategic business initiatives aligned with company goals.
• Formulate and execute longterm strategies to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure compliance with HSEC and HR standards and regulations.
• Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility throughout the organization.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve health, safety, and environmental performance.
• Foster community relationships and ensure the company's operations respect human rights.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
• Utilize datadriven decisionmaking to optimize production processes.
• Seek and secure custom feeds and other business opportunities to support strategic goals.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to identify new business opportunities.
• Evaluate and negotiate contracts to ensure beneficial agreements for the company.
• Oversee daily operations to ensure the achievement of production, metallurgical, environmental, and budgetary objectives.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure the efficient and effective use of resources to meet production targets.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a highperforming team.
• Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to align on strategic objectives.
• Represent the company at industry events and forums to build relationships and promote the company's interests.
• Communicate effectively with senior management, providing regular updates on progress and challenges.
• Develop and manage budgets to ensure financial targets are met.
• Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Identify costsaving opportunities and implement measures to reduce expenses.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
• Identify and mitigate risks to the organization.
• Develop and implement contingency plans to address potential disruptions.

Requirements

• Minimum of 15 years of experience in a senior management role in operations.
