Description
Tomlinson is looking for an experienced operator to work at our Waste Recovery Centre in Carp, ON.


Job location: 106 Westhunt Drive, Carp, ON.


Schedule:
Monday-Friday, Afternoon/Evening Shift (2PM - 11PM). After 6PM, there is an evening shift premium added to your hourly wage.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Sorting Construction and Demolition (C&D) materials
  • Operating an Excavator
  • Operating a Loader
  • Operating a Skid Steer
  • Operating a Shredder
  • Keeping the yard & roadways clean of waste debris
  • Working hand in hand with other operators and drivers
  • Performs daily safety and maintenance checks
  • Maintaining equipment and reporting any defects in a timely manner
  • Cleaning equipment as scheduled and/or required
  • Ensuring equipment is safely and securely stored
  • Maintaining grounds, sweeping and snow removal
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures while working
  • Other duties as required

Requirements:


  • 5+ years operating various types of equipment

Working Conditions:


  • Frequent physical work
  • Long periods of driving and sitting
  • Exposure to the elements summer heat, rain, cold, etc.
