What Are We Looking For
The Human Resources Co-op will be a mebmer of the Welland Team, working closely to support our North American Human Resources department. The position will assist with a variety of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and other HR-related projects.
Co-op Term Duration:
May September 2026
Essential Responsibilites
- Screen resumes and applications, schedule interviews, and communicate with candidates.
- Support interview coordination and logistics between candidates and hiring managers.
- Participate in onboarding activities, including preparing new hire documentation and orientation materials.
- Help organize and coordinate HR-related events such as employee engagement activities, training sessions, and wellness programs.
- Support post-event evaluation and feedback collection.
- Provide general administrative assistance to the HR team, including filing, data entry, document management, and correspondence.
- Prepare HR reports and presentations as needed.
- Assist in maintaining employee records and HR databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
Desired Characteristics
- Possesses strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Desire to learn about the technical process of operations, management/business.
- Professional demeanour/customer service oriented.
- Ability to multi-task, and deliver key objectives within established timelines.
- Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
