As the Lead Animator at Timbre, you will be driving the visual standard behind some of our most beloved characters Using your passion and understanding of traditional stylized and keyframe animation, you'll coach our diverse team and deliver a unique, fun and responsive player experience on a family-friendly ARPG.

You believe the best lessons are shared and through your knowledge and expertise, you will help mentor and grow the Animation team, fostering an inclusive animation culture in the process alongside our Art Leadership team Your advocacy for animation and the player experience will be delivered with clarity for both our internal and external teams, aligning key humans to deliver our first project


As a Lead Animator at Timbre, you'll:

  • Lead and coach a team of skilled Animators, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and Artistic excellence
  • Champion the visual fidelity and excellence to our characters as we continue delivering assets into the game, raising the bar for quality and consistency to new heights in Unreal
  • Partner with Production team to plan Animation development milestones, timelines, and resource allocation
  • Create organizational best practices for our development team, ensuring our data management is easy to use and track
  • Own and drive the Animation experience in partnership with our Art Director, providing clarity and direction to our Animation and art teams on the momenttomoment player experience
  • Partner with recruitment on inclusive and diverse hiring, evolving a team to execute on the projects vision

What you bring:


  • 3 years of Animation Lead experience in a creative industry, where you've coached Animators, scoped and planned tasks, and worked with external partners
  • A demo reel that showcases a variety of highquality stylized, keyframe animations, bringing the fun to the projects you've worked on
  • Previous experience collaborating with publishers as an Animation Lead
  • Experience integrating and implementing features within a video game engine, preferably Unreal
  • An inclusive approach to Recruitment and mentorship, that brings out the best and authentic elements of your team
  • A collaborative and open approach to communication: you are experienced in delivering clear, concise and solutionfocused messages, that are easily understood by a crossdiscipline team
$112,000 - $168,000 a year
