Payroll Analyst to join our team

Key Responsibilities:
- Process weekly/biweekly payroll, in ERP (Viewpoint)ADP for employees across multiple Canada and USA jurisdictions
- Process remittances for source deductions, ECB EHT, etc.
- Respond to inquiries and requests for payroll information from employees and/or external clients
- Create and review pay calculations with respect to all new hire's, terminations, final pay calculations and prorations, pay changes, retro increases, as well as any updates to payroll records for tax withholding, benefit deductions, direct deposit changes etc.
- Run the monthly, quarterly, and yearend reports to reconcile the payroll accounts for accurate W2/T4's and assisting in yearend activities
- Monthly payroll balance sheet reconciliations
- Calculate, track, balance and approve documents (insurance billings to actual deductions/benefits, taxable billings, employee garnishees, employee expenses, etc.)
- Participate in the development of new payroll policies and/or procedures
- Verify compliance with federal/provincial/state legislation
- Maintain strict confidentiality of privileged information
- Assisting with Special projects and system upgrade testing & other payroll tasks as required
What We Are Looking For:
- Post-Secondary Education relating to business administration (i.e., finance, accounting)
- PCP or CPM certification (or working towards) with the National Payroll Institute
- 5 + years' experience processing end to end payrolls, both Canada and US
- Knowledge and Experience in federal, provincial/state, and local payroll tax requirements
- Experience with Viewpoint and ADP software would be considered an asset
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment meeting stringent weekly deadlines while providing a high level of customer service to internal clients.
- Commitment to working in a team environment, with established team building abilities.
