GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
This position is responsible for inspecting parts, products, and processes to insure conformance with standards, as well as check for irregularities and defects.
To achieve this, the incumbent inspects materials and products using fixed or variable measuring instruments, as well as verifies specified dimensions on product or material using inspection equipment.
SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
1) This position is responsible for supporting departmental co-ordination of quality related activities and matters.
2) This incumbent is accountable for working with drawings, rough sketches, manuals or prototypes to assure conformance with established quality specifications.
3) This position is responsible for inspecting and verifying parts, products, procedures, processes, and/or specifications to insure conformance with organizational standards.
4) This incumbent is accountable for inspecting materials and products using fixed or variable measuring instruments.
5) This position is responsible for comparing products with part lists or sample models to ensure completion of assembly.
6) This incumbent is accountable for resolving quality assurance issues by problem solving with employee's as required.
7) This position is responsible for conducting research on product defects, as well as investigating processes regarding out-of-specification conditions.
8) This position is responsible for reporting off-specification product.
9) This incumbent is responsible for assisting the Quality Assurance Manager in summarizing and preparing reports related to quality assurance (i.e.
10) This position is responsible for performing inspections on a range of work, requiring discretion in the use of appropriate tests. To achieve this, the incumbent tests theories and remedies and trouble-shoots quality problems.
QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- College diploma an asset, however it is not required
- 35 year experience in quality assurance in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to multitask
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Good Problemsolving skills
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- Computer literacy (Working knowledge of Word and Excel)
