In business for over 30 years, PBS is the third largest DMS (Dealership Management System) provider to the North American retail automotive industry.

Each month we welcome hundreds of new users to our software platform, and we need your help.

The Role:


Due to our steady growth over the last couple of years, we are looking to expand our Employee Relations team to ensure our focus is on point.

With offices in the US & Canada, we are looking for a diverse HR professional who is an excellent communicator, a people's person and is passionate about building up engagement and positive new hires experience.


As an Employee Engagement Coordinator, you will be responsible for facilitating onboarding and orientation, ensuring positive engagement, and providing first-class welcome experience for all new PBS employees.

This role will be the main point of contact for new employees to ask questions about PBS during their first year.

The Employee Engagement Coordinator will work with new employees over the course of their first year of employment to support a positive adaptation to PBS culture and strengthen employee engagement with the role and company.

This is an entry level position with the potential of making big impact in the organization.

This role will be based in our Calgary office. This is not a remote work opportunity.


Responsibilities:


  • Act as the main point of contact for all new employees during their first year for any HR/Payroll/Benefits/Employee Relations and PBS Culture related questions. Responds directly to their questions or redirects them to the appropriate person.
  • Keep up to date knowledge of PBS benefits, policies and any other information that the new hire could need during their first year of service
  • Responsible for developing and implementing an onboarding program for all new employees to complete in their first year of employment
  • Coordinating onboarding across all PBS offices to ensure a similar experience for all new hires
  • Hosting orientation sessions in both presential and online modalities
  • Responsible for creating a welcoming and inclusive environment
  • Create education opportunities over the course of the first year to engage new hires with the necessary departments and to learn key processes
  • Provides feedback as appropriate, to Payroll and Benefits, Employee Relations, and new employee's manager to help improve training and onboarding processes
  • Conducts exit interviews and reports trends to Director of Employee Relations

Qualifications:


  • High School degree and/or college education or related experience in the HR field
  • Ability to work with and maintain confidential information
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Customer focus / excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Engaging public speaker
  • Problem solving & trouble shooting skills
