What Would You Do?
This position is responsible for the creation and maintenance of design information for new and existing upholstered furniture product lines
The key duties and responsibilities of this position would include:
- Create and maintain New Style Designs
- Work with product development team to design new patterns, develop pattern information, digitization, cover BOM creation and population of cover material usage information.
- Work with team to analyze and implement product change requests.
- Participate in redesign projects to reduce material cost, improve quality, increase safety, etc.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to create documented procedures and control
- Other duties as assigned.
- Degree or diploma in têxtile science (or a related field), or equivalent work experience
- Diploma in Computer Aided Design (or a related field), or equivalent work experience
- CAD software experience (Optitex, Insys, CAD Assyst, PDM Assyst)
- Strong analytical and decisionmaking skills
- Communication, teamwork, and problemsolving skills
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, standards, best practices
