We have done this with a large, dedicated team of volunteers and a handful of employees, with a lot of passion and commitment.

About this role
The role of Client Services Representative (CSR) is to manage client relationships and provide client support.

The main responsibilities include helping our clients to choose required furniture items and other household goods and making this entire process comfortable and welcoming for them along with other duties such as packing and labelling the furniture items and housewares selected by the clients, recording the correct items on the Client Intake Form, providing assistance to our volunteers, and making sure the entire process is run smoothly throughout the appointment time.

The Client Services Representative must abide by the rules and regulations of Matthew House Ottawa:
Furniture Bank.

You would be asked to:

Greeting Furniture Bank clients as they arrive in the showroom and making them feel welcome
Making sure the furniture showroom and Gorman Room (Houseware room) is all organized
Making sure all the paperwork is done prior to entering the furniture showroom
Tagging the right items and right quantity chosen by the clients with the colored labels
Correctly recording the number of chosen items on the Client's Intake Form
Answering all the client's questions and explaining the entire process
Making sure all the items chosen are carried out to the warehouse for delivery
Packing all the fragile housewares carefully in the boxes and placing the right color labels on them
Assisting other client services volunteers as needed
Organizing & maintaining the Gorman Room
Sorting through donations to determine which to keep and which to dispose of
Keeping the display area clean and organized
Before leaving for the day, sweep the floor, empty the garbage can and put a new bag in the can
