Benson Cabinetry & Millwork is currently looking to fill the position of
Site Assistant/Quality Control Inspector.

The purpose of this role is to conduct inspections in finished units for the purpose of rendering the cabinetry work complete.

Site Assistants at Benson have some or all the following tasks

Arrive at the job site ahead of the scheduled delivery to meet the trucks
Verify each worker's time sheet in accordance with internal policy
Ensure cabinets are installed per specificatin
Review handle placement
Verify the cabinets against the paperwork to determine if pieces are missing
Report any inconsistencies, overages or missshipped cabinets immediately, track in app
Report any dropped, broken or damaged product immediately
Keep track of any cabinets stored in any part of the building that is not the assigned unit
Communicate with the office, the PM and the Installation team about project status
Communicate potential challenges
Ensure units are free of garbage and broom cleaned
Accurately track changes and site issues and rectifications
Work with other trades on sites in a collaborative, cohesive fashion
Maintain client relations with Site Superintendents, Owners, and other trades as necessary
Deliver parts and supplies to various job sites when needed
Maintain safety standard to a level that is COR compatible
Adhere to the work alone and safe driving standards and policy
Maintain our vehicles to the standards outlined in internal procedure
Track mileage and expenses in accordance with internal procedure

Qualifying Requirements

Legally permitted to work in Canada
Experience working as a mover, a moving supervisor or laborer of similar capacity
Ability to stand for up to 8 hours in steel toed boots, lift up to 50lbs repeatedly throughout the shift
Proven interpersonal/people skills
Team work ethic
Valid BC Driver's license
Ability to read and write fluently in English
Experience working on a construction site and/or with cabinetry will be considered an asset

This is a full time, permanent position based out of various job sites in the Lower Mainland.

Salary:
$23.00-$25.00 per hour
