Currently, the Winnipeg Free Press has an exceptional opportunity for a
VICE PRESIDENT ADVERTISING SALES tojoin our team.

Reporting to the President and CEO, this position will be responsible for:

Responsible for revenues under our local, national, digital and multi-market categories
Lead a team of sales representatives and support staff.
Coordinate and manage all outside sales representation agreements.
Develop senior level relationships with key accounts.
Achieve sales results to build revenues and increase market share.
Work with senior management team to produce the best products and value for our clients.
Direct sales involvement and travel to our local and national based clients
Provide leadership in coaching and development of our sales teams.
Develop sales strategies, budgets and incentive programs.
Succeed in selling our value and strengths in a very competitive environment.
Represent the Winnipeg Free Press at various industry events.

Qualifications:

Postsecondary education in business management, marketing management or equivalent.
At least 5 years of senior management experience in the media industry, preferably newspapers.
Possess a creative and entrepreneurial style.
Possess strong leadership, analytical and interpersonal skills.
Superb decision making, communication and team building skills.

Remuneration will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.

Salary:
From $130,000.00 per year
