Role Summary

Apprenticeship Hours Pay Scale: $ $39.32 (dependent on hours completed)

Key Responsibilities

Mechanical maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of:

a) Paint & Assembly Automated equipment such as automated assembly cells, automated robotic paint systems, conveyor systems, pneumatic devices and ancillary equipment

- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance procedures including rebuild and overhauls

- Troubleshooting and repair equipment on a daily basis as needed

- Perform and/or assist in the assembly and install of equipment

- Weld and fabricate components when needed

- Contribute and implement continuous improvement initiatives

- Complete all required work orders and associated documentation

Key Qualifications/Requirements

 Grade 12 diploma or equivalent

 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice – enrolled in a recognized College program

 Proficient in English (both verbal and written)

 Any related work experience/training in a manufacturing environment is an asset

 Able to work independently with minimal supervision

 Has a positive attitude towards learning new ideas/skills

 Excellent mathematical skills and attention to details

 Must meet the minimum physical requirements to perform the essential duties of the job

Under the guidance of a qualified Tradesman, the apprentice is responsible for assisting with and/or carrying out inspections, repairs, maintenance and modifications of machinery, equipment, and facilities. The Apprentice is responsible for adhering to all Ministry of Skills and Development regulations and training requirements.
