GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The Maintenance Manager has the direct responsibility for maintaining and upgrading the production equipment as well as the site facilities (such as fire protection, security safety, cleaning etc).

In addition, this position is responsible for the management of the Preventative Maintenance Program.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Actively participate and support daily, weekly and monthly Tier meetings to ensure accurate data collection and information transfer.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing Agent to rationalize and prioritize parts orders and services.
  • Support the HS&E, Quality and Service, and Productivity/Cost sections of the facility plan as defined by scorecard activities.
  • Manage all facility aspects such as p lan and direct the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment.
  • Manage the Preventative Maintenance Program to ensure it reduces downtime and improves overall reliability of manufacturing equipment.
  • Coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and direct the integration of technical activities.
  • In collaboration with the Engineering & Maintenance Manager, identify capital project requirements and assist Engineering group in the preparation of Capital Requests for review and submission to management including costs, schedule, and procedures.
  • Direct, review, and approve equipment designs and changes consistent with Management of Change (MOC)
  • Engineering Request (ER) procedures.
  • Analyze annual utility expenditures and develop plan to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, approving expenditures and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services.
  • Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and work with the maintenance crew to implement the needed preventative measures.
  • Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity in hiring and promotion decisions.
  • Effectively and efficiently onboard new employees.
  • Conduct midyear & annual performance evaluations and provide ongoing performance feedback, maintaining clear and timely documentation.
  • Coach and manage employees using CS&W philosophy and tools to ensure talent is developed and retained.
**EDUCATION: - Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

  • Advanced technical degree considered a positive

EXPERIENCE:


  • Four to seven years related experience and/or training

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Incumbent must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, kneel, talk, hear, taste, smell, and life up to 50 lbs.


BENEFITS AND COMPENSATION:


The annual salary for applicants in this position generally ranges between $84,320.00 and $105, This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operations, needs, and other considerations permitted by law.
