Your opportunity:


Under the supervision of the Associate Director, Recruitment & Admissions, the Admissions & Programs Assistant is responsible for supporting the admissions process as well as performing registrarial and student service functions.


The incumbent will provide proactive, exceptional customer service to a diverse population of applicants along with delivering high quality day-to-day operational service as part of the registrarial and student services team.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Responding to routine admissions and awards enquiries and referring complex enquiries as appropriate
  • Using assessment checklists when screening applicants
  • Verifying the eligibility of applicants
  • Scheduling committee meetings
  • Taking and distributing meeting minutes
  • Acting as the first point of contact for general enquiries

Essential Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum two years relevant experience, preferably in an academic setting.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer service orientation.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to multitask; strong attention to detail.
  • Exceptional computer skills including demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
