CDCI Research is looking for a qualified Project Operations Manager to provide operational oversight of the day-to-day execution of the project management program, including schedule adherence, budget compliance, change management, technical and quality compliance, project financial performance, and risk assessment and mitigation.

As the Project Operations Manager, you will also serve as a strategic partner to the Executives, working collaboratively to optimize and streamline business processes, enhance efficiency, and support contract, project and departmental operational reporting.

This role requires a strong operational mindset, exceptional problem-solving skills, analytical skills, and the ability to prioritize.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Collaborate with the executives to manage and monitor project and company performance.
  • Oversee implementation of all contract deliverables, budgets, schedules, proposals/amendments, and resource approvals; including management of contract level funding
  • Lead the monthly project financial reporting and operational review process, driving efficiency, profitability, and collaboration with business owners
  • Work with clients, executives and technical managers on resolving issues and submitting specifications for new projects/deliverables
  • Organize and lead monthly, quarterly, and as needed meetings with the clients and executives
  • Lead the oversight of national project resourcing
  • Lead and manage the project support team of Research/Project Coordinators, Assistant Research Managers, and the Project Accountants
  • All of the abovementioned responsibilities require strategic oversight but will also require some handson management

Experience and Qualifications:


  • Minimum 5 years of experience in both project and people management roles with progressively increasing responsibilities
  • Postsecondary diploma or degree OR professional certification in business, project management or a related field
  • Excellent understanding of project management principles and practices
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects; including projects with diverse stakeholder requirements
  • Experience creating and managing project budgets and project financial reporting
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with deadlines and changing priorities
  • Eligible to obtain PWGSC security clearance

Additional Desired Experience and Qualifications:


  • CAPM / PMP certification or Project Management Institute course work
  • Experience working with federal government clients
  • Understanding of historical/archival/litigation support industry
  • Financial or accounting background or course work
  • Knowledge of Ediscovery process
  • Bilingual (English and French)
  • Holds PWGSC Secret security clearance
