THE ROLE


Triovest, one of the largest privately-owned Canadian commercial real estate companies, is seeking a Manager, Leasing at our downtown Vancouver office.


KEY RESPONSIBILITES

  • Manage a highvolume of deal flow from small to medium size leases in office and retail properties in the Vancouver area.
  • Maintain constant communication with the brokerage community and prospective tenants directly, through meetings, presentations, real estate organizations, mailings, etc.
  • Conduct tours of vacant space with prospective tenants.
  • Leasing of assigned properties and/or space to prospective tenants.
  • Demonstrate indepth knowledge of the market and buildings being represented and undertake financial analysis of prospective deals.
  • Prepare financial analysis of prospective deals; proposals, offers to lease and other documents relating to incoming or existing tenancies and summarizes benefits and risks when presenting transactions for approval.
  • Prepare monthly and/or quarterly activity reports, leasing and/or income projections and market analyses.
  • Prepare annual budgets, annual plans and assist with monthly and quarterly reports. Manage and monitor annual budgets to ensure targets are being met.
  • Effectively handle negotiations, prepare proposals, prepare responses to proposal requests and other documents relating to incoming new deals or existing tenant renewals.
  • Meets with tenants on a regular basis to promote landlord/tenant relations.
  • Work with marketing to update leasing information on corporate website.
  • Contribute to the overall business strategy of this portfolio to ensure that leasing objectives are achieved and a local presence is established within the industry.
  • Manage external listing teams where applicable.
  • Provide comprehensive business solutions including strategic advice on: industry trends, market information, leasing activity, competitive set and building conditions.
  • Collaborate and consult with asset management to deliver transactions and solutions that are aligned with the clients business needs and goals.
  • Work with Property Management, Construction and other internal departments for tenant issues, building conditions including: tenant construction, landlord work, tenant retention and engagement initiatives, arrears, subleases, early terminations, etc.
  • Maintain, manage, measure, and evaluate the performance of the transaction process.
  • Continue to build a culture of service excellence, highperformance and flexibility with all business partners.

QUALFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Commerce, or Real Estate.
  • British Columbia Real Estate Trading Services license is mandatory.
  • Three to five (35) years of office and retail leasing experience working with an institutional landlord and/or client representation.
  • The ability to perform at a fast and accurate pace with a full range of leasing functions on an end to end basis for an office and retail portfolio.
  • Sound knowledge of legal documentation, specifically offers to lease, lease agreements, sublease agreements, consent forms, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to understand, interpret and analyze financials of lease deals and market research data.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close lease transactions.
  • Must have a vehicle and valid drivers license for travel.
  • Strong networking and relationship development skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an outstanding level of integrity to gain the trust and respect of internal and external stakeholders.
  • A strong communicator who can effectively communicate complex issues into clear and actionable recommendations in a clear and concise writing style.
  • Extraordinary team player and ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment.
