Ontario Power Generation Inc. (OPG) is looking for a skilled and dynamic professional to join our brand-new team in the role of
- **Case Manager

  • Human Rights and Harassmen**t. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Ethics & Equity, the Case Manager will facilitate case management services for complaints of discrimination or harassment across OPG.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
The Case Manager will provide impartial and trauma-informed management of harassment, discrimination and misconduct allegations across OPG


Duties will include:

  • Provide strategy and guidance on human rights matters while ensuring fair work practices in accordance with the Code, values, behaviours and human rights legislation.
  • Provide expert support for complex human rights, labour relations, employment, ethics and compliance matters
  • Provide advice and guidance to business units and employees at the site level on governance implementation
  • Provide case management and investigative support to inquiries, incidents and/or complaints raised under the Code and human rights program
  • Review, analyze and document all matters in the centralized iSight database of alleged Code violations
  • Develop and strengthen partnerships with business units to promote collaborative approaches (e.g. Code compliance/monitoring systems, Code awareness & training)
  • Liaise on human rights and harassment matters with internal stakeholders including Accountable Managers and senior management across OPG
  • Provide support and guidance on issue identification, the investigative process and/or proposed resolution (alternative dispute resolution, assessment etc.) to the Manager, Human Rights and/or Sr. Manager, Ethics & Equity
  • Provide a neutral, objective, confidential channel for employees to address work related human rights concerns
  • Provide advice and recommend proactive solutions to address common workrelated issues raised
  • Other Duties as Required

EDUCATION

  • Degree in law, human resources, industrial relations or equivalent
  • CHRL designation considered an asset

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of five or more years of progressive experience in law, HR or industrial relations handling human rights and harassment complaints
  • Experience working in a unionized environment considered an asset
  • Effective written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate with a wide audience clearly and concisely
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to tactfully address difficult, controversial topics.
  • Expert understanding of workplace law including human rights, labour and employment, harassment and sexual harassment etc
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to effectively manage multiple conflicting priorities
  • University or equivalent education in Human Resources or Law
