    Technical Trainee

    Newmarket, Ontario

Engineered Air is a manufacturer of custom Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning units that has challenging career opportunities available. We are seeking self-motivated individuals with strong technical, analytical, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills to join our design, manufacturing, service, or sales teams. Challenging and rewarding positions are currently available in our Newmarket facility. Engineered Air offers a competitive compensation package.

    Engineered Air is recognized as a leader in providing extensive employee training. The training program, depending on experience and ability, could be up to two years in length. This program allows you to rotate throughout our company in a variety of manufacturing and design modules and gives you a broad knowledge of our business. Through ongoing training at our lunch & learns presented by suppliers or our in-house classroom instruction we keep our employees current with the latest technology and developments. Part of your continuous learning and growth we offer tuition assistance for suitable post secondary courses. The training program will prepare you for a successful career and is consistent with your interests & aspirations as well as our corporate goals with Engineered Air. Engineered Air has a wide variety of career opportunities, design, manufacturing, technical service or sales.

    Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of equipment performance data and specifications.
  • Detailed mechanical layout of air handling units.
  • Special construction details.
  • Hydronic or gas piping schematics.
  • Electrical wiring schematics.
  • Complete description of control sequence of operation.

    • Experience/Skills Required:

  • HVAC, Mechanical or electrical degree/diploma preferred.
  • One to two years of related summer employment in design, production, or service experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Knowledge in HVAC and control systems, AutoCAD and MS Windows is desirable.
  • Ability to accept assignments on short notice and work within strict deadlines is essential.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
