- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the shop, prioritizing and assigning work as required including deployment of mobile field HDM's
- Manage and mentor apprentices assigned to location
- Complete daily safety briefings
- Perform preventative maintenance on various equipment
- Diagnose and repair all types of equipment
- Complete work orders and equipment logbooks accurately
- Source parts and supplies when necessary
- Assist with other duties as required

- Completion of provincial red-seal apprenticeship in Heavy Duty Mechanics or Commercial Transport
- Experience with hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting and repairs
- Class 3 w/ air license would be an asset

- Ability to learn and repair all types of equipment
- Ability to travel and work in remote locations when necessary
- Able to demonstrate an ability to work unsupervised as well as in teams
- Able to work all types of shifts as required, including nightshift and weekends
- Able to work in inclement weather all year round

Description
We are currently looking for experienced Heavy Duty Mechanics to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair our diverse fleet of equipment, based out of our Spruce Grove shop in Alberta.
Preference is given to Red Seal Journeyman mechanics. However, if the right candidate is either currently enrolled in their third year apprenticeship or has recently completed their third year of apprenticeship, they will be considered.
