Responsibilities:

The Category Manager will report directly to the Merchandising Management Team and be responsible for general duties of store operation

  • Strategically plan new products and package development for improve sales and profit
  • Supervise the overall quality and control the inventory and shrinkage of the product
  • Over seek the sales and PL of the category
  • Manage Company's vendor relationships for the category.

Job Duties:


  • In charge of the negotiation of costs, prices, discounts and credit terms with suppliers
  • Ensure the order details are complete and correct in internal databases
  • Monitor inventory and ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levels
  • Expect future supply and sales volume and plan next order
  • Select and purchase merchandise for resale
  • Receive and review quality of incoming product
  • Manage supplier base while proactively seeking and developing new suppliers that strategically fit the organization's requirements
  • Plan annual buying budgets, forecast updates for assigned category items, and develop strategies for buying and sales opportunities
  • Manage weekly availability guides to facilitate store ordering
  • Develop and implement purchasing reporting based on common KPIs
  • Provide strategic assistance for cross selling and/or cross purchasing product

Salary:
$60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
