Applied Industrial Technologies is currently seeking and has an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of
Warehouse Supervisor - Distribution Centre at our
Saskatoon, SK location.

  • Supervise and assist in daily warehouse and shipping areas including: Filling and shipping customer orders, satisfying internal shipping requirements (technical service groups, vendors, etc.), ensuring accuracy of shipments and supporting documentation, receiving incoming material and routing to appropriate area or personnel, filing work orders from service and production, packaging assemblies and receiving finished goods, ensuring inventory transactions are accurately logged and overseeing cycle counts and reconciliation activities.
  • Measuring and reporting the effectiveness of the department activities.
  • Developing and maintaining departmental work instructions for all warehousing tasks.
  • Establishing or adjusting work procedures to meet warehouse demands as required by the management team and work flow.
  • Interpreting company policies to workers and enforcing safety regulations and performing management responsibilities for safety committee
  • Recommending measures to improve quality of service, increasing efficiency of department and work crew and equipment performance.
  • Continuously improve warehouse operations through the use of lean enterprise practices.
  • Maximize effective use of warehouse space and continuously improve product flow efficiency.
  • Ensuring that all product in warehouse is clearly tagged and identified from process perspective
  • Ensuring that company quality procedures are implemented and upheld
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant warehouse experience including 1+ year of previous supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Grade 12 diploma is required, formal warehouse training would be an asset
  • Related experience in the power transmission industry is preferred
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills, ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Self motivated an detail oriented
  • Ability to implement procedures and meet critical deadlines
  • Ability to make calculations such as discounts, freight estimates, dimensional weight, invoices, and percentages.
  • Forklift experience and certification (training can be provided)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required, Familiarity with SAP system would be an asset
  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
  • Work independently or in a team environment
  • Ability to meet physical requirements including: a variety of standing, sitting and walking throughout the day; repeated twisting at the torso while lifting and pulling inventory from shelves; regular lifting of up to 20 pounds and occasional lifting of 3040 pounds, occasional climbing of ladders; usage of pallet jacks.
