Reporting directly to the Corporate Controller, the Accountant will support senior accounting staff in managing and overseeing various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to accounting principles.
Generate detailed financial reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators and trends.Financial Record Maintenance & Analysis:
Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records using accounting software.
Reconcile and maintain expense accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Resolve accounting discrepancies & irregularities.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and Canadian Tax Regulations.
Audit Support:
~ Prepares for financial audit and assist in supporting external audits.
Streamline accounting processes to enhance accuracy and timeliness.
Work closely with the finance team to ensure a seamless and collaborative working environment.
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
Enrollment in the CPA program would be an asset.
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
