- Manage and lead a team of mechanics and technicians in the maintenance and repair of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and specialized oilfield equipment
- Onboarding of new shop labourers, ensuring completion of on-site training
- Maintaining records of supplies and parts picked/used in conjunction with closely monitoring the material required for restocking of the shop
- Carries out monthly shop inspections
- Coordinates equipment usage with drivers
- Completes any required logs and maintenance
- Remain in full contact with the General Manager and keep them informed of the day-to-day operations and any issues that may arise
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Journeyman Mechanic certification
- Current certifications an asset:
- H2S, First Aid, CSO, WHMIS, and TDG certification
- Understanding of Incident Investigations and Safety Supervision
- Understands requirements, responsibilities and rights under occupational health and safety legislation
- Valid Class 5 license with air brake endorsement
- Crane Certification and Hoisting and Lifting devices certification
- Physically fit to carry out required job duties
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
