SPS is looking for a Finance Analyst to join our team


Job Overview


The Finance Analyst will focus on implementation of current and new financial management practices, preparing and analyzing account trends and work with the Sales & Planning department to analyze and maintain sales rates.

The role is best suited for an individual that is a team player along with a positive attitude and is quick to learn.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Prepare and advise on budgets, forecasts, financial/data analysis, and cash flow for multiple departments
  • Prepare accurate and insightful cash flow forecasts
  • Prepare special reports by analyzing and summarizing account trends and activity
  • Assist the month end, year end and quarterly close process
  • Establish and maintain new accounting policies and procedures
  • Assist the planning process of capital, cost projections, and business cycle reporting
  • Assist with accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Establish optimal processes and controls, while instill a continuous improvement mindset among the team
  • Manages other duties and special projects as assigned
  • Follow, participate, and make recommendations regarding safety, environmental performance, quality, productivity, and customer feedback.

Qualifications

  • Ability to effectively collaborate with several department heads
  • Strong attention to detail, sound judgement and high degree of confidentiality
  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Excellent problemsolving skills
  • Selfmotivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Flexible and adaptable to change and shifting priorities
  • Confident with software, such as MS Word and Excel. Intermediate knowledge preferred
  • Manufacturing and operations accounting finance experience preferred.
  • Completion of a university or college degree in finance or related field
