Stratford Facility we fabricate and assemble components for heavy truck, defense and off-road equipment companies.

We feature fitting and welding, metal forming, saw cutting, painting, assembly departments and manufacture everything from small components to large structures, sheet metal to heavy plate.





JOB SUMMARY:
Material Handler

Full Time (
Aft Shift - 3:45pm-2:15am Mon-Thur)

We have an opportunity for a Material Handler at our Stratford facility. The position will be responsible for co-ordinate and move material throughout the plant to ensure efficient product flow.


Specific Responsibilities:


  • Ensure parts are moved to the proper locations within the facilities
  • Assist in the staging and kitting of jobs as required
  • Coordinate the movement of inventory throughout the plants
  • Help maintain a neat and organized shop and yard.
  • Receiving of inventory as required
  • Assist Shipping and Receiving in the loading and unloading of trucks when required
  • Receiving and entering product into Visual.
  • Any additional duties as required by Supervisor.
  • Follow all Occupational Health & Safety Regulations and Company Health & Safety Policies and Procedures

Working Conditions:


Physical Effort.

  • Moderate physical effort required.
  • Lifting up to 50lbs manually
  • Walking, sitting, standing, bending
  • Driving forklift

Physical Environment:


  • Industrial environment consisting of: dust, noise, machine oils, grease, degreasers, weld fumes, weld flash, metal shavings from waste stock, and compressed gasses.
  • Personal Protective Equipment provided and must be worn.
  • Material handling driving fork lift truck

Sensory Attention:


  • Constant Safety awareness of machinery and equipment being used and machine processes being used in the surrounding work areas.
  • Incumbent must use safe operating procedures while using equipment at all times.
  • Constant awareness that proper lifting and bending procedures are practiced to prevent injury.

Mental Stress:


  • Well organized individual, communication skills imperative when dealing with outside suppliers etc.
  • Constant attention to detail and care of product.
  • Demands regarding time lines

Qualifications:


  • Must have forklift experience
  • Valid drivers Permit
  • Experience in Manufacturing is an asset
