Position Overview:

Product Management Process


Be a visible leader of product management best practices, keeping up to date with industry trends and bringing new approaches to Deighton.


  • Work closely with Director Product Management and product team (Business Analysts, Product Managers) to establish product management processes. Provide suggestions on improvements.
  • Ensure compliance of your work to product management processes and corporate standards
  • Ensure product direction is properly documented and communicated to members of the Deighton Team.
Product Management-Product Roadmap, Backlog Management


Develop the product strategy, own the product roadmap, and ensure features are effectively prioritized to deliver to the release schedule for the dTIMS suite of products.


  • Ensure the Epic and Feature level of the product backlogs are maintained for the products you own and for other products. Act as a lead and mentor for all Product Owners. Process and analyze customer requests.
  • Deliver product releases to planned scope, schedule, cost objectives, closely monitoring progress and reporting results.
  • Escalate conflicts and prioritization issues not within your power to resolve to the Director Product Management in a timely fashion.
  • Engage successfully with the Scrum process forming collaborative relationships with developers and QAs.
Development Support & Product Advocate

  • Act as a dTIMS advocate relating feature delivery to user need, enabling marketing and sales initiatives.
  • Establish crossbusiness relationships including Business Development, Research & Innovation and Executive staff to advocate for your products.
  • Fully engage with customer interactions including presentations on dTIMS products and ensure product related slides are available to internal (and external) customers.

Required Skills:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 4+ years of product management experience with asset management products
  • Experience in leading the product vision, gotomarket strategy, and design discussions.
  • Experience in creating strategic product roadmap from conception to launch.
  • Experience driving elements of the product development lifecycle such as product vision, gotomarket strategy, driving requirements, and product launch.
  • Ability to influence stake holders without direct authority.
  • Experience working with crossfunctional (e.g., engineering, UX/UI, Program Management, etc.) teams.
  • 2+ years of experience in relevant roles in asset management (i.e., Product Manager, Product Owner, Product Engineer, or other software development positions)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Infrastructure/Transportation Asset Management Certification in Product Management, Product Owner, or other SCRUM roles
  • Design and Implementation experience in Enterprise Resource Planning systems
  • Design and Implementation experience in Master Data Management
  • Design and Implementation experience in System Integration
  • Design and Implementation experience in Data Visualization and Data Mining
