We are looking for someone who has experience in organizing corporate events and who is bilingual in French and English.

THE TEAM


The Events Coordinator is responsible for organizing events and gathering opportunities that are engaging, inspiring, strategic, well-attended and have a lasting impact.

Many of the events will be aimed at building employer brand, organizational culture, team building and employee experience.


Office of the President and CEO
The Office of the President and CEO team provides administrative and strategic support services across the organization.

We work behind the scenes to ensure cohesion across divisions, that people work together symbiotically, and that Congebec's commitments and goals are met.


We work closely with members of the Executive Team, the Board of Directors, as well as Congebec's Operational Team (OCLT) and Tactical Team.


We have 5 main areas of responsibility:
administrative, advisory, project management, strategic initiatives, and relationship building.


RESPONSIBILITIES
The Event Coordinator reports to the Manager of the Office of the President and CEO and will have the following main responsibilities

  • The Event Coordinator reports to the Manager of the Office of the President and CEO and will be primarily responsible for
  • Coordinate event details throughout the process ensure logistics including scheduling, define the nature of services required, select outside vendors as needed, and monitor their accountability, compile and prepare reports, and other administrative tasks as needed in an effort to ensure smooth and efficient coordination of activities.
  • Selects and assigns internal and external collaborators to perform tasks prior to and during events and monitors and supervises them as required.
  • Draw up a budget for the events and monitor the budget to ensure that the allocated resources are respected.
  • Coordinate the promotion, information and publicity for the events under his/her management.
  • Write event summaries and reports evaluate the event and make recommendations for improvement.

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • Background in event or project planning and management, communications, or other related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in managing diverse corporate and operational events.
  • Equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Demonstrated ability to be selfdirected, detailoriented and thorough in analyzing, managing and synthesizing various files.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to deliver clear messages, manage expectations and build healthy relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills, management and coordination of largescale events and projects.
  • Excellent skills in generating creative and inspiring ideas for project management, writing and promotion.
  • Demonstrated problemsolving skills in an environment with tight deadlines and limited resources.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.
  • Willingness to travel, as required, to various locations across Canada.
  • Class 5 driver's license and vehicle.
