Description

The Electronics Production Supervisor - Langley TyreSense (LTS) is responsible for overseeing the overall operation and production of TyreSense products from Langley.

This includes staff management and overseeing all areas of equipment operations, electronic product assembly and production delivery, and safety.
- **People Management*
  • Recruitment of new employees to maintain staff levels as required including training plans
  • Coach and evaluate staff and dealing with any performance/attendance issues as they arise including termination if necessary
  • Ensure employee scheduling is at the levels needed to meet delivery dates and production goals
  • Communicate regularly with employees to provide updates on production schedules and requirements
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are followed by all employees
  • Maintain effective working relationships with TyreSense and Rimex employees in all branch offices, as needed.

Safety Management

  • Enforce and establish a positive environment that is committed to a safety culture
  • Ensure all employees are following all safety procedures and protocols
  • Participate in the Safety Committee as the management representative
  • Liaise with WorkSafe BC inspectors
  • Responsible for maintaining safety standards in accordance with WorkSafe BC

Production Delivery

  • Ensure that operations and production goals are met for LTS
  • Maintain inventory controls for equipment and component supplies to production goals
  • Review of production processes and procedures for improvements and increased productivity
  • Ensure that the packaged delivery of TS products is adequately maintained for electronic tracking and safe handling

Operations/Maintenance Management

  • Maintain equipment operations procedures and prioritize maintenance repair work to meet production goals
  • Maintain testing equipment operations and testing certification programs to be compliant with Testing (QA/QC) procedures to ensure the quality of products as delivered
  • Oversee RMA/Warranty system including repairs and labor/expense tracking as Job Orders
  • Process system transactions related to production and inventory processing through work orders, Purchase orders, site to site transfers, ship/receive.
  • Order and track product component/consumable stock needed to maintain production delivery schedules and performance metrics
  • Maintain and manage LTS enterprise inventory with Vendor supply contracts, including outside processing of parts.
  • Collaborate with Engineering Production Control team on new item or product build/assembly goods to be created and managed through Production at LTS

Education:


  • Advanced Diploma or degree

Experience, Skills & Abilities

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in an electronics production operations environment in a supervisory role
  • Intermediate level skills in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc)
  • Experience dealing with WorkSafe BC
  • Previous experience with ERP software (Syteline)
  • Proven experience with leading and coaching a diverse team in the mechanical assembly electronic devices and product production environment
  • Have an good understanding of radio communications (RFID), static discharge mitigation practices, and electronics assembly
  • Knowledge of Employment Standards and WorkSafe BC regulations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deal in challenging situations
  • Ability to work independently or in a team
  • Adaptable, flexible and able to work well under pressure
  • Sound judgment and decisionmaking ability
