We are looking for a BI Data Manager to join our growing Operations Insights team.
You will be responsible for managing a team of data analysts, overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of our Business Insight (BI) solutions, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of our data.
You will also work closely with IT and various stakeholders across the operational business unit, such as Airports, Maintenance, Operations Control, Contact Centres and Flight Operations, to understand their data needs and provide them with relevant and actionable insights.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of analysts, ensuring they have the skills, tools, and resources to deliver highquality BI solutions
- Define and implement best practices and standards for data quality, data security, and data documentation
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust BI solutions using various tools and technologies, such as SQL, Power BI, Snowflake, etc.
- Develop and execute a data strategy that aligns with the organization's vision, mission, and goals
- Lead and facilitate change management initiatives related to data and analytics, ensuring stakeholder buyin and adoption
- Perform data analysis and visualization to generate insights and recommendations that support business objectives and strategies
- Collaborate with operational stakeholder groups to understand their data requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver solutions that meet or exceed their expectations
- Manage multiple projects and priorities across operations and IT streams in a fastpaced and dynamic environment, ensuring timely and effective delivery of BI solutions
- Maintain knowledge on the latest trends and developments in the data and analytics field, and identify opportunities for improvement and innovation
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in data analysis, BI development, or data engineering, with a strong portfolio of BI projects that demonstrate your skills and expertise
- At least 3 years of experience in managing or leading teams, with a proven ability to motivate, inspire, and develop talent
- Expert knowledge and experience in SQL and various BI tools and technologies, such as Power BI, Snowflake and Webfocus, with a high level of proficiency and creativity
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts and insights to both technical and nontechnical audiences
- Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders across the organization
- Demonstrated project management skills and experience would be an asset.
- A high level of analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to think creatively and strategically
- A passion for data and analytics, with a continuous learning mindset
- A collaborative spirit, with a willingness to share knowledge and learn from others
