Cycle Count Clerk

Job Summary:

As a cycle count clerk, you will be responsible for conducting frequent inventory audits to ensure accurate stock levels and prevent inventory discrepancies.

You will work closely with the warehouse or inventory management team to identify and resolve any discrepancies, maintain inventory accuracy, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the warehouse operations.

Responsibilities:

Conduct regular cycle counts of inventory items according to established schedules and procedures.
Record and report inventory discrepancies, including overages, shortages, or damaged items, to appropriate personnel for investigation and resolution.
Utilize inventory management software or handheld devices to accurately record inventory counts and update inventory records.
Investigate root causes of inventory discrepancies and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
Collaborate with warehouse and inventory management teams to implement process improvements and best practices for inventory control.
Assist in the reconciliation of inventory discrepancies and participate in physical inventory counts as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure timely resolution of inventory issues and promote a positive work environment.
Adhere to company policies and procedures related to inventory management and security.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in inventory management, cycle counting, or related field preferred.
Proficiency in using inventory management software and handheld devices.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in counting and recording inventory.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced environment.
Basic math skills and ability to perform calculations accurately.
Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate's degree in business administration, logistics, or related field.
Certification in inventory management or related field (e.g., Certified Inventory Management Professional
CIMP).
Experience working in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
Knowledge of inventory control procedures and best practices.
