About the Role


We are looking for a full time Seasonal Yard Customer Service Representative (shipper/receiver) with forklift experience (March/April to mid-December) to support our team at our Leaside location.


Depending on the role or day, this person may service customers in the yard by loading and unloading materials, load and unload inventory shipments from delivery trucks, prepare custom orders for same day or next day deliveries and support proactive movement of materials on the premises and yard maintenance.

May also be required to act as spotter for delivery trucks.


Requirements:


  • Must have valid forklift license
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills to work in a diverse environment
  • Comfortable in a fastpaced environment
  • Able to work on a 56day rotating work schedule Monday through Saturday
  • Open to flexible hours depending on workload
  • Able to work independently and as a collaborative team

Working Conditions

  • Flexible hours including mornings, afternoons and Saturdays
  • Overtime as required
  • Interaction with customers/clients, and the public at large
  • Lifting, moving, or manipulating objects up to 80 lbs
  • Extended periods of standing
  • Hazards associated with conducting work outdoors (sun, rain, snow, etc.)
  • High noise levels
  • Regular exposure to conditions including heat, humidity, and dust
  • Repetitive work
  • Use of required personal protective equipment must have safety boots (CSA Green triangle patch and CSA White rectangle with orange Greek letter omega Ω)

Salary:
$18.00-$23.00 per hour
