BURNCO has an exciting and challenging new opportunity for a Business Analyst (HCM) in our Application Services support team.
Reporting to our Manager, Business Systems, this can be a hybrid role with both the ability to work remotely and/or to be located out of our Calgary Head Office.
What You Will Be Doing
- Partnership & Analysis
- Act as a trusted systems advisor and key liaison to Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in HR, Payroll, Time Entry, Recruitment and Onboarding, Health and Safety, and other IT teams
- Assist in the prioritization process of requests
- Conduct technical and systems analysis to provide relevant and functioning solutions
- Measurability & Documentation
- Provide key measures in support of the team's KPls and weekly priorities
- Ensure all relevant system configuration workbooks are updated and readily available
- Collaborate with team members to maintain an enriched catalog of relevant technical and system process documentation
- Ensure systems are designed to meet service levels for performance and retention with appropriate backup availability and business continuity plans.
- Ensure access management governance is configured and following IT policy and guidelines based on business agreements.
- Operational Support
- Setup access for the new employees joining the team in Oracle Fusion ERP.
- Design technical and functional solutions in collaboration with other systems analysts and development resources
- Partner with business teams and the data & analytics team to ensure reporting and intelligence needs are met.
- Function as the primary resource responsible for system configuration and validation of development/configuration against design specifications
- Coordinate the development of all testing criteria, scripts, and testing plans required to ensure that system changes and enhancements function as designed
- Follow Incident Management, Release Management, and Change Management processes in line with best practices
- Work with vendors and contractors as needed to ensure a highly effective operational support model
- Participate in change/release management reviews and advisory
- After hours/on call/change activity required at times
What We Would Like From You
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
- ITIL certification a plus
- Thorough understanding of UKG offerings and proficiency/knowledge in:
- Human Capital Management
- Workforce Management
- Experience working with analytics and reporting technology (SQL skills an asset)
- PowerBI skills would be an asset
- Relevant technical UKG experience, experience with UKG Pro and UKG Dimensions suite preferable
- Experience with Oracle is an asset
- Experience integrating and interfacing HRIS systems
- Experience with ERP Time Entry/Payroll systems like JD Edwards, Oracle Fusion Cloud an asset.
- Experience providing technical support on complex technical issues.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong knowledge of IT access controls and change management processes
- Knowledge of ServiceNow (ITIL Processes and systems) for tracking and managing requests would be an asset
