    About the position

    We're on the lookout for a Field Appraiser (Auto) to join our team. Take a look at what you'll be doing:

    • Conducting field inspections to assess mechanical or physical damages to different types of vehicles through direct contact with insured individuals, claimants, and service providers.
    • Communicating openly with shop owners and managers during the appraisal process. Negotiating repair practices and communicating repair times and parts replacement as needed.
    • Keeping up-to-date with insurance products, appraisal techniques, and services. Identifying areas for improvement and suggesting changes to maintain high-quality service.
    • Building and maintaining strong relationships with repair facilities and service providers. Assisting in evaluating vendors' performance to ensure it meets professional standards.
    • Conducting re-inspections when necessary to ensure repairs are completed properly.
    • Collaborating with claims departments and providing guidance to other appraisers and adjusters.
    • Obtaining repair cost agreements from vendors and negotiating settlements within specified limits.

    Requirements:

    • College diploma, university degree, or equivalent trade license.
    • 3-5 years of customer service experience in a dealership or collision center.
    • 3-5 years of experience in collision estimating, preferably using Audatex.
    • Autobody license is a plus.
    • Clean driver's abstract.
    • Ability to prepare auto repair estimates using Audatex Estimating Software.
    • Strong computer skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
