Description

An esteemed logistics company in Etobicoke is looking for a Dispatcher who can work well independently, but also in a team environment, and who is capable of receiving detailed instructions from leadership and then following through efficiently.


Responsibilities:


  • Receive and relay messages to and from drivers, dispatchers, and supervisors.
  • Manually enter information into dispatch computer.
  • Verify that incoming messages have been processed into the system.
  • Call drivers to confirm that a trip has been added to the computer system.
  • Check in with drivers, supervisors, and dispatchers throughout the day.
  • Be able to listen to callers who are angry or upset and stay calm.
  • Work quickly under pressure.

Experience:

- dispatching: 1 year (required)


Salary:
$17.00-$20.00 per hour


Flexible Language Requirement:

  • French not required

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
