Temporary Part-Time

Up to 24 hours per week - $23.42/hour

QUALIFICATIONS

Postsecondary Diploma or Degree in Trades, Office Administration, Human Services, and/or an equivalent combination of postsecondary education and related work experience may be considered
Minimum two years of practical work experience in liaison, Indigenous student supports, and customer service
Demonstrated understanding of placement requirements for students from the carpentry sector and trades agencies
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel)
Valid Ontario Driver's License

DUTIES:

Responsible for all aspects of placements for the General Carpenter Pre-Apprenticeship Program for Women
Organize and coordinate acceptable work placements for students of the program
Work closely with the Project Lead, students, employers, and staff in all aspects as it pertains to the coordination of work placements and student success
Liaise and outreach between industry partners, community, and stakeholders to promote the program
Track and evaluate work placements
Assist with various matters relating to work placements
