About The Opportunity
Working as an integral part of the Ta7lnew̓ás Education, Employment and Training Department, reporting directly to Team Leader Learning Center, The Adult Dogwood Education Teacher will be responsible for creating curriculum and lesson plans for academic ABE classes in a self-paced, multi-level, community-based setting. The incumbent will need to have experience teaching in community settings, using an asset-based approach to teaching, also the role will be versed in Indigenous and decolonized approaches to teaching, with a trauma-informed practice lens. This role requires a proven ability to work in collaboration with First Nation partners and demonstrates ability to work with students having diverse needs, including academic, personal/familial and community.
