The position of Team Lead, Financial and Economic Analysis is an opportunity to draw on your technical and leadership skills to improve the efficiency and expertise of the Financial Management team by implementing systematic changes and mentoring junior staff.

Location: 1166 Alberni St, Vancouver (Hybrid)


About the role

As the Team Lead, Financial and Economic Analysis, you will lead, plan and implement analytical projects; perform data analytics that support service delivery, cost management, and health data reporting to inform decision-making.

You will interface with management, health professionals and FNHA program resources to develop models, reports and decision support tools; develop and implement procedures and guidelines on data management practices; and contribute technical expertise to the Analytics and Financial Management team.

Additionally, you will be responsible for leading, mentoring and training team members.


About you
To be successful in this role you will have / be:

  • Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Health Science, Health Informatics, Operations Research or a relevant field of study, or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience
years of significant, recent and relevant experience leading complex analytical work, preferable in healthcare, using scripting languages and query languages

  • Experience with predictive modelling (usually acquired over a period of 3+ years' experience gained in professional, and academic will be considered)
  • Handson experience with analytical models, methods and techniques
  • Experience with data visualization and dashboard design software such as Tableau, Power B
  • Experience with business intelligence, data warehouse technologies, with strong SQL skills
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of analytical / statistical software such as SQL and Python
  • Experience analysing financial data
  • Mastery in MS Excel; able to perform pivot tables, pivot charts, and advanced functions in MS Excel
