Hours: 37.50 Hours/Week; Days - Staggered start times as needed; Some Weekends as Needed

Permanent Part-time


A member of the Cath Lab Administration team, the responsibilities of the INVENTORY COORDINATOR, include: maintaining responsibility for the cost effective management of the inventory management system (Omnicell); developing and implementing strategies to facilitate cost effective inventory management; coordinating and conducting inventory count/audit; maintaining responsibility for coordinating the product trials and evaluation process; performing budgeting responsibilities; utilizing the Omnicell to generate reports for use by management and medical personnel; maintaining responsibility for coordination of reprocessing and tracking of items sent to a third party reprocessor; acting as a resource for inventory users; providing on-going training and support to users; performing cross-functional duties, as assigned or requested.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completion of a recognized post secondary diploma program in Business Administration majoring in Operations Management; or Purchasing, or recognized equivalent
  • Three (3) years inventory and management experience
  • Computerized inventory system experience, preferred
  • Excellent analysis skills to interpret and classify financial/ statistical information
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Effective organizational/prioritization skills, ability to plan work efficiently and effectively in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to meet frequent deadlines and changing priorities
  • Ability to work independently and be flexible and adaptable
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams
  • Experience working in an hospital environment, an asset
  • Membership in the Purchasing Management Association of Canada (P.M.A.C.) an asset
  • Vaccines (COVID19 and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption on a medical ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.
