Job Summary:

Responsible for the efficient operation of the Maintenance, Safety and Security functions in support of company objectives.

Direct, supervise and support Maintenance, Safety and Security of employees engaged in the performance of their duties.


Key Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Manage, coordinate, plan and schedule the activities of staff in the Maintenance, Safety and Security departments.
  • Ensures processes support the effective operation of the Maintenance (building and equipment), Safety and Security departments.
  • Mentor staff and oversee training for new and current workers
  • Provide performance evaluations to employees
  • Ensure standards for safe working conditions are observed
  • Hiring of new staff

Qualifications:


  • Postsecondary education or equivalent work experience
years directly related experience

  • Previous management experience in an industrial environment
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Detail oriented
  • Knowledge of building operations and industrial machinery
  • Knowledge of relevant governmental regulations
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional analytical skills needed for critical decision making
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word and Excel)
