Global Furniture Group is looking for a
Injection Molding Maintenance Technician to join our Plastics division. This position works 100% on-site at our Steeles/Dufferin location and may require occasional Saturday availability.


As a key member of the maintenance team, the maintenance technician is responsible for all maintenance aspects on the injection molding machines, preventative maintenance, repairs and upkeep.


Role Responsibilities:

  • Maintain injection molding machines such as Nissei, Toshiba, Mitzubishi, Engel - newer and older models
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment system faults, ensure adequate control and safety measures are working and enforced. Enlist OEM as required.
  • Initiate purchase orders for equipment and machinery, parts and materials for production and building requirements, and maintaining critical spares and maintenance inventories.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Support maintenance and operational needs. Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records (CMMS system, and ESA log book).
  • Maintain, repair, test, program and install electrical motors, hydraulics, pneumatic electrical control systems, sensors, and variable frequency drives.
  • Perform troubleshooting, repair and maintenance to simple control networks
Qualifications/Skills Required

  • College degree/diploma/program and/or Millwright 433A or 442A Electrician certification
years experience in manufacturing environment specializing in injection molding

  • Demonstrated diagnostic trouble shooting ability
  • Mechanical, electrical/electronic experience and training
  • Computer skills
  • Independent and professional work ethic, able to work independently and as part of a team
