Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Building Operator to join our team.

As a Building Operator, you will be responsible for maintaining and operating the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within our facilities.

Your role will involve ensuring the efficient operation of building equipment and systems, as well as providing excellent customer service to our tenants.


Responsibilities:


  • Maintain and ensure proper operation of the electrical, mechanical, elevator, and fire/life/safety components of each property;
  • Study and become familiar with the various items of equipment, and the methods required to use them properly, that are required in everyday activities. This to include building automation systems, fire / life safety systems, and any other building related equipment;
  • Perform minor plumbing repairs, light bulb changes, battery replacements, installation of dispensers, patching and painting, power washing, garbage pickup, etc.;
  • Manage various contractors working in the buildings;
  • Complete all service requests in order of importance and update the requests at least daily or on completion of each order request;
  • Assist with environmental assessments and reporting;
  • Participate in corporate occupational health and safety program;
  • Produce reports on the operation of facilities and maintenance activities as required;
  • Recommend maintenance and capital improvements to improve facility operations or reduce energy consumption;
  • Implement and manage preventative maintenance programs;
  • Respond effectively to all emergencies both during regular working hours and after hours when on call.

Salary:
$60,000.00-$70,000.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

  • 8 hour shift

Education:


  • AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

Experience:


  • Preventative maintenance: 3 years (preferred)
  • Plumbing: 2 years (preferred)
  • Maintenance: 3 years (preferred)
